Party Types

Learn how to create, configure, and manage party types for organizing your guild members in Throne and Liberty.

Party Types

Party Types are the building blocks of your party organization system. They define the composition and requirements for different party formations.

Creating a Party Type

  1. Navigate to the Party Presets page in your guild dashboard.
  2. Switch to the Types tab.
  3. Enter a name for your new party type in the "New party type name" field.
  4. Click Add Type.

Configuring Roles

Each party type can have up to 6 members with specific roles:

  1. Click Add Role in your party type card.
  2. Select the role type:
    • Tank
    • Healer
    • DPS
  3. (Optional) Configure weapon preferences for each role:
    • Click Add Weapon Preference.
    • Select Primary and Secondary weapons.
    • You can add up to 3 weapon preferences per role.

Managing Party Types

  • Reordering: Drag and drop party types using the horizontal grip handle.
  • Editing: Click the pencil icon to rename a party type.
  • Deleting: Click the trash icon to remove a party type.
    • ⚠️ Warning: You cannot delete party types that are being used in presets.

Best Practices

  1. Use descriptive names for your party types (e.g., "Frontline A", "Frontline B", "Bruisers", "Flankers", "Support").
  2. Configure roles based on your activity requirements.
  3. Set weapon preferences to help with automatic party assignment.
  4. Create different party types for different content (world bosses, boonstones, siege, etc.).

Limitations

  • Maximum 6 members per party type.
  • Maximum 3 weapon preferences per role.
  • Party type names must be unique within your guild.
  • Cannot delete party types that are in use by presets.
